I love the Attack line. (Except Attack Brain. That's just a Mastermind ripoff with scoreboards.) But... my provider (Sprint in California) decided to completely nerf the J2ME capability of applications not from Sprint (or possibly also approved 3rd-party dealers). Therefore, I get no sound. Simply put, I'd love to see the Attack line (ESPECIALLY the Attack Chopper games) on sale from Sprint. One, that would allow me to get sound. Two, it obviously gets you cash. It might not be all that hot for the first couple of months, but that's easily remedied by having those demo versions. (Instead of a 5-run limit for AC2, try removing the shields and cutting the map down to the starting zone.) How about it, oppressed Americans? Should the Attack line be available in the service providers' stores?

I'd love to see my games on the carries's stores. I've been trying for a year to make that happen. It turns out that if you want on the carrier's site, you need to have a major publisher that they are currently buddie-buddie with. This blows goats. I have a few places where my games are on sale "off portal", but that generates d**n near nothing as far as revenue is concerned(like maybe 1 sale every week). The guys at gamejump.com are getting more and more deals with sites/carriers, and I expect them to be in with the carriers sometime this year.
One of the reasons you don't have sound, is my fault. I don't have sound in the current versions of AC1/AC2. I HAD sound in AC1, if you were one of the 30 people in the world that have purchased it from Mad4games or game.co.uk/mobile, you have a tutorial, sound and screen transitions. I removed those features to keep AC down below 64KB when I added the advertising.
Sound is a major pain in the ass on Java phones. I'd totally have sound for everything, if it was possible. You'll notice that most games with sound, only have either music or 1 sound. That's just 'cause the stupid phone manufacturers don't feel it's important. It's not our fault that we can ONLY do 1 sound/music-track at a time. I see reviewers bash on developers of mobile games all the time, because sound support sucks, but it's not worth the effort for us when 99% of all phones can't make it worth while.
That's something that I am really dissapointed about in my games, is the sound support. I'll have more sound in future games, as the newer phones finally start taking over, and I can actually purchase/use one myself!
