In an attempt to generate a little discussion I thought I would post this survey.

I think you get 10 votes. (actually it is only your vote that does count.)

Well, my advertisers are starting to implement new features like the ability to put an ad screen in between levels. I may go ahead and make AC3 in the near-ish future, now that I would be able to make more than $5.00 a day from it. Honestly, that's what I make from AC1 and AC2. I figure a game with tons of levels, and an ad screen between each would likely make a good chunk more than AC1/2, so I'd have incentive again. It really dissapointed me that even though people really like AC1/2, I can't make much money from it. This is mostly because people sit and play it for a long time, without re-starting. I can totally understand since that's what I always do too. With between-level ads, I would be able to justify spending the needed time to make a great game, since it'll likely make 10x as much per play as the first two. Before I get to that though, I have a few things to finish up... 1) More Web page stuff... 00adam.mobi , GO THERE! 2) 'Attack of the Water Stealers', 95% done. Joint project with Darryl again. I haev given much guidance, and it's based on the 'Attack Cannon' engine, so I think people will enjoy it. 3) 'Attack Stack', 80% done. This is my baby, but I've been holding off until I feel confident with the ad system again. Once I have renewed faith this will be finished up in a matter of days. I even have professional music composed just for this game!... if your phone supports midp2.0 + midi. 4) MAYBE finish up 'Box Game'. I feel more like I want to re-write the entire network engine before I release this game. It is already playable, and multiplayer works, but I don't want it to crash my server which is hosting the scores as well as my website. Even if I don't release it any time soon, this game produced my 'scrolling engine', which has served me very well anyhoo. 5) Put highscores features into the rest of the flower games. Currently Rose, Tulip, and Iris do NOT have online scoring. Surprise surprise the ones wiht online scoring have taken the lead in plays. 6) Maybe 'AC3' : I want to write a brand new engine for this game. AC1/2 were based on the first code I ever wrote for a mobile, and that was 3 years ago.

If it is Good code, why change it? unless by re-coding you can have... 1) more power-ups 2) more (smarter) opponents 3) bigger maps (or more smaller ones) 4) missions (as in pickup and deliver)

No non-wap version yet. I'll get around to it after I'm happy with the wap site.

Maybe you can add a speed-up power-up? Or how about changing weapons like guns to missles by using the # key or something? I don't know, just an idea..

And they are good ideas as well. One of the only reasons that I didn't put multiple weapons into either AC1 or 2, is that we only have 2 corner keys and a fire button. I have avoided using the # and * keys because they aren't located near the D-pad. I don't want people to have to use 2 hands to play.
It really sucks being limited to 1 action button, and 2 'side' buttons. If I could simply have 2 well placed action buttons, I could do so much more...

If I do have more variety in the powerups, I think I'd just have the corner key cycle through all of them one at a time. That way you have the key near the D-pad, and you still have the extra functionality.
1) Missiles: I don't have any moving targets to shoot at, so this could simply be a visual change asyou get the damage upgrades 2) Speed-up: Wouldn't really need to be toggled on/off, so I think we could either alter the max-speed based on the number of rotor blades, or permanently increase the max-speed with each 'speed-up' you find, or have a temporary speed boost. This will really depend on the levels, and if there are any time-sensitive areas.

Well, as far as the missiles, I was thinking because sometimes there would be some pesky enemies too far away to shoot but that keep shooting at you. So if there was a way to take them out, that's the reason. Gosh, you can't really improve too much on it, it's great already! Oh, and the speed up yes, I was thinking permanently. But how about adding a nice touch to it like having it go max speed after holding the button down for like 5 seconds? That way it doesn't ruin the controls if you don't want to go too fast while dodging bullets. Shoot, I think that would be a nice feature to just have automatically in the game! Cuz a couple times I found myself going back and forth through one side of the map to the other trying to find what to do and wished it would just go faster..

hmm, something to think about.... If you don't fire it could accellerate, that way it doesn't interfere while you are trying to hit stuff...

I would like the objective to be something other than 'kill em all'. Maybe put a princess or something at the end of each level.
And of course, new weapons/upgrades.
In order to change weapons and still only use the thumb buttons, maybe you could put a few 'shop zones' in the levels. When you go to the shop, hit your fire button, and from there purchase or change your equipment - say from artillery to missles. Of course, you would have to 'liberate' the shop before you could use it.

So if and when AC 3 is complete, where can i get it? I honestly ran into AC, and AC2 by accident. Keep up the good work. Your hard work, has paid off by me being entertained many a hours waiting for meetings to be over, doctors visit hell even a trip to the emergency room. Plus make some money of it, if it means for you to put an ad in between each level i really dont care. I have downloded games of ads before. So if I do it, I know that there is another sucker out there that has done it before.

I'm glad you enjoy playing some of my games. One of these days maybe I'll run into somebody on the street or at a bus stop playing one of my games, which I think would be the coolest thing ever. To find my games, you can grab 'em all at 00adam.com, 00adam.mobi, and gamejump.com . Getjar.com has most of my games as well, but I recommend the other sites as they serve the correct versions for your phones automatically. I'm in the process of completely overhauling my website to take advantage of the new gamejump.com partner program. It may take a while (days / weeks), but it'll be PC friendly when I'm done. At the moment 00adam.mobi/00adam.com is mainly targeted towards mobile browsers instead of PC's. About AC3, now that Microsoft is allowing indie devs like me to create and sell games on Xbox live, I MAY try my hand at making an Xbox 360 version of 'Attack Chopper'. I was also toying with the idea of making a '3D stereoscopic' version of 'Attack Chopper' for mobiles, so that if you cross/un-cross your eyes, the game will actually be in REAL 3D popping out of the screen. I think it'd be the first truly 3D game on a mobile...

Is that project dead or are you stil thinking about making AC3? If you decide to make this game, here are a few suggestions: - Add a little storyline or something. That's always more interesting when we know who we're saving by flying around these towers - Levels... maybe about six small, AC1-like levels as a "tutorial" and then a great map? You can also combine it with the story... - Don't care too much about the 64k limit, it's 2008 and most mobile phones support greater games. But if you want, you may make 2 versions of game - one under 64k, without a couple of features, and one, "full", above. - And maybe try to add some achievements or shop, like in Attack Breaker? That makes game not so pointless.

AC3 will happen eventually. I don't know exactly when though. My advertisers seem to have scrapped the idea of ads between levels, so there's not much $$ incentive to make AC3 at the moment. It's sad, but I unfortunately need to take that into account. It kinda bothers me that I still get the most feedback from 'AC1/2, but they only make me a combined $5.00 a day. If I could stick the ads between levels I could probably make a reasonable amount of money from a sequel and justify my time on it, but for now I can't. I love making games, but money gets in the way of so many things The game I want to make the most, I know wouldn't make any money. Also, I'm getting tired of doing all the trivial stuff myself, and keep debating hiring others to do graphics/prorgamming. I have lots of games I want to make, but there's only so much I can do on my own without going insane. I haven't taken the leap into paying others to work for me because I am worried about how the performance/gameplay would turn out, and I absolutely hate rummaging through other people's code. ... wow, sorry about the rant. Hope I didn't scare anyone away.

I start and stop the game a lot, but I only get new ads every week or so. If you turned up the frequency, it might make you a little more.

Unfortunately I don't have any control over the ads at all. Wish I did...
