I don't know if this is just a problem with my phones, or if this kind of problem will happen for others as well.
What happens is that after connecting to the server, the phone has trouble detecting what and when buttons are being pressed and released. This is really annoying, because the phone will get stuck thinknig you are holding a direction, and you can't get it to stop scrolling. I saw this a little on my Samsung A920 after updating scores, but it only affects my Sanyo 2300 if the connection is happening at the same time as the button presses. As soon as the network game is stopped the Sanyo works like normal, but the Samsung is goofy forever after any network connection is made.
Has anyone else experienced problems on the high-scores screens in Attack-Chopper-2 or Attack-Brain after hitting update? If this is just a rare bug, and not a really widespread problem, than I can ignore it.
Anyone wanna help test?

This is really starting to get to me. I have no idea how to work around this on my current phones. Maybe I'll go buy a new phone for testing, to see if it still happens on that one...

Well I really didn't think this was my fault, so I used it as an excuse to buy myself a new phone. My new phone is a Sanyo SCP-6600 "katana". This phone is a bit quicker in games than my Samsung, and it exhibits none of the stupid quirks of my other phones. This makes me feel much better, since it's probably not my fault that my other phones have problems with the buttons.

I now have 100% proof that the problems with the keypresses is not my fault. I took my Samsung phone, that would have problems forever even after only 1 connection, and 'hacked' it. I modified the phone to remove the annoying "would you like to allow this program to have network access?" screen. Removing this screen fixed the problem! It looks like the phone's operating system would screw up and not give me back 100% control after the user responds to the popup about access, so removing the popup fixed the problem!
I hope this isn't a big issue with other people. My new phone has the annoying popup for every single connection just like my Samsung did, but it doesn't have the problem with the keypresses. As soon as my USB cable comes in, I'm gonna see if I can remove the network 'nag' from the new phone as well.
Also, now that I have 2 phones that support Midp2.0 and socket connections, I'm going to implement support for that next. I was thinking of leaving it out, but it'll circumvent the constant network access 'nag' on all midp2.0 phones, which will be very helpful. Also, when I get the socket implementation working, I would be able to run multiplayer games at much closer to real time, with a lag of maybe only 1s instead of 6s.
Also, my new phone has a really big screen 240x320! It's got a really nice picture. I'm always happy when I can pickup a phone I've never touched in my life, and be able to install/run all my games with no problems. Every time I see my games running on a new phone, it makes me feel like it really is worth all the effort of shooting for 100% compatibility.
