After something close to 9 months, the downloader application will finally be available on gamejump.com... soon.
It's being renamed to 'Games 2 Go', and will have an updated look&feel. The new version will only be available through gamejump.com, as we are using it for a trial run before opening it up to all the catalog partners. Hopefully all will go well, and it'll go live in the full catalog after the test period.
G2G credits the original partner site with the downloads, which of course increases their revenue. My hope is that when it goes live, all of the partner sites will want to promote G2G, because it'll be increasing their own downloads.
It doesn't hurt that I serve the compatibility/rankings to G2G, and my server lists my own games at the tops of their respective categories. I think this is fair, since I developed the app on my own time, and was not paid by greystripe. I also have an adMob text/banner ad on the game download page that is linked from g2g every time you want to download a game.
I hope we can see this going live within a week or two.
