Origami v4.0 bug reports

Hello!

I hope everyone is enjoying the new features. There seems to be some small bugs in the system with regards to the scoring. I was about to make a top-25 list of scores available on the webpage, but it seems that some of the scores are not valid. I am confident that the errors in the scoreboard are due to a problem on the device, and not in the boards, or transmission. Maybe these people have corrupted save games? Maybe there's a problem converting the score into the information that gets sent to the board? I don't know yet, but I'll figure it out as soon as I can.

I have some ideas, but if it's because of a corrupt save game on the device, then it's gonna be hard to detect/fix in an automated fashion.

If you guys spot other issues with the games, please post here to let me know!

I've been having a problem with my oragami rose. It's growing b insane numbers and won't stop. It's over 10000% watered. It's growing so fast that it just kind of vibrates. I went from about rank 400 to six in just a few hours. Is there any way you can fix it?

just thought I'd add that the height was just over 100 cm before - now it's over 10 mill & the growth rate is 1.8 mill.

Did you recently change the time on your device? This can happen if the date gets changed to something earlier than the last time it recorded. Going back in time easily confuses plants I guess.

I'm working on a new version that will not have this problem. Everyone that upgrades to the new one will need to start a new flower though

darn - I have vista which has a big with the ipod that causes the date and time to change sometimes when I plug it in. So that could be the problem. Thanks for the fast reply!

Oh well. To temporarily alleviate the problems with dates being reset, I've temporarily disabled some devices from posting scores. This will be fixed when the new version is released next week(I hope). I have also banned people with offensive names, as that just spoils it for everyone.

I can't seem to see any scores above my current number. My rank changes from 60 to 69 throughout the day and I see ranks and names below mine, but I see nothing above but the endless blue sky. Anyone else having this issue?

If the scores are so close together that they would overlap when drawing, they are not displayed. Don't worry about it, as I'm sure it's not really broken, it's just an artifact of the way I display the scores, and how they can sometimes be very close. If your rank is changing a lot, then everyone in your range is really close.

I see the records for rose and daisy v5 but I can't find them in the search on the app store or in updates...

In daisy about 6 hours ago or something I was coming 72nd now I'm somehow coming 12th and there seems to be hardly any other people. What happened?

The app store takes a whlie to update completely. Mine still tells me that Orchid is not available, but clearly people are downloading it. Yesterday, it told me that Rose and Daisy had updates, but the only version was 4.0. When I told it to "update all", it actually did grab v6.

Don't worry I'm sure v6 will display in the app store soon enough I have reset the score boards and lifted all bans. If we give it 12 more hours I sure most people will have played that are normally ranked ahead of you, and the ranks will return to normal on the v4 games. However, v4 is susceptible to the time bug/cheat, so there will be many people with totally invalid scores.
