I am releasing "Origami Orchid" v7. I have sent it to apple, but don't know if it'll be released this coming week or not, due to the holidays. V7 has a few changes: -> flags in game (matching those now shown on the score page) -> PurpleTalk banner exchange. Let me say a little about PurpleTalk ( www.purpletalk.com ). PurpleTalk is a way for free apps like mine to promote each other. So every time somebody runs the new version of "Orchid", they'll see a promo for another app during the initial loading screen. How it works is, every time I show a promo banner, I get credit to show my own banner in somebody else's app. What this should mean is that when you guys play Orchid 100 times a day, it'll advertise the game automatically 100 times othr people that are using different programs. I expect this to significantly boost downloads, and give us all a larger community. Without something like PurpleTalk, I'd be stuck either spending cash to promote (expensive), or be happy with a few hundred daily downloads. Right now, Orchid gets downloaded around 350 times a day, Rose around 400, and daisy around 200. Lets see how much this PurpleTalk thingy can help out! Remember, if you guys don't like something, please let me know. There's no point in me adding new features that you folks just don't like!

No, don't worry about that. I won't be resetting the flower heights. If an update ever requires a reset there will be warnings on the update page and here.

Hi there, I growing Orchid and Daffodil and I noticed that since yesterday, my ranking shows as Unranked. I never had any problems before so I'm wondering what happened. My phone died on saturday night and I only got to plug it in midnight. Could that have caused the problem?

Maybe. There seems to be some problems generated when the date/time gets reset on the device. I am hoping that the newer versions don't have as much trouble(v8+).
My server tells me that at some point you watered after 28 minutes, but it grew 3.5cm. This is probably because you had to change the time on the device, and it grew for a longer time period than it was supposed to.
Since it's only a small amount, and obviously an accident, I've un-banned you. Enjoy!

Thanks! Actually I didn't what the cheat was until I got into this forum this morning so rest assured I didn't change my time. You might want to see if it's a bug. When my phone died, it took me 12 hours before I could plug it in. I immediately watered my babies :-) but didn't connect to the Internet as I was in non-wireless zone. I try to minimize my expenses on 3G connection I water but don't really connect all the time. But I do water my plants as often as possible (with some sleepless nights). Hope that explains it and let me know if I'm in violation in any way by not connecting. I do love your apps! Great work!

I think the growing is smoother/less-buggy in the v8+ versions. Daffodil v8 is making it's way around the world starting today, and all will be updated to v9 some time in the next week or so.
