Woot!
I feel stupid for how long it took me to make it work correctly, especially since I was banging my head on the same problem for 2 days... which turned out to be really dumb.
I haven't had a 'hard' time with anything technical for years. I can do anything in java, but a stupid off screen buffer being used as a texture in OpenGL baffled me for days. Ugh.
Time to start prototyping Water-Stealers for iPhone! RTT(render 2 texture) was the only real technical requirement for it, as it would be way to slow without.

Now that Apple allows devs to share technical stuff about iPhone dev (I think I read that), do you find it easy to learn tricks and share experience with other developers?

Much easier. Now that people aren't afraid to post code on forums and blogs, google turns up decent results when you search for most topics releated to iPhone development.
