Howdy folks. I haven't posted for a while, 'cause I've been busy with my online board game. I'm going back to flower development though, 'cause I found a new system that could make money, and add new features to the games at the same time!
It boils down to getting 'points' or 'seeds' or 'fertilizer' or whatever in game for visiting sponsors. This isn't going to be with the current banner ads, it's more like websites that you can sign up for, and stuff that's on sale. When you sign up for one of them you get a certain number of points. There are plenty of free ones, where you get points simply for signing into a website and ignoring it forever after.
What I want to know is, what do you want to be able to spend points on? Here's a few ideas just off the top of my head...
1) Fertilizer: Makes your flower grow faster for a while. (2x, 4x, 10x?) 2) Different colors: Change the color of your flower for x points. 3) Sun down for x points. Don't want your flower to wilt? Put the sun down! 4) Auto-water: keep your flower fully watered for x points per hour.

Well, since nobody seems to care I'll just continue to talk to myself I'm currently debating between an individual point system, and a community point system. With the difference being... 1) Individual: Each user has their own point totals, and can spend only the points they earn for themselves. 2) Community: All points earned are pooled into a single amount that everyone has access to for spending. So if there are 1000 points available, it's first-com-first-served to spend it. I could also keep track of who earns the most points for the community, and post a high-score list for the top earners. With the community system, we could have a global community, or per-country communities, or maybe even user-configured teams. I'm leaning towards the individual points system to start out because it's simpler. Any thoughts?

I like the idea of being able to buy points but feel that a community group would only work if everyone pulled there own weight

Yeah, so if there are gonna be groups it'll have to be totally configurable by you guys.
