Hello everyone! It's been a LONG time since I updated a java version of any flower games. Because Apple seems to be needlessly delaying the release of the new versions of my iPhone flower games, I'm gonna do a java port of the current iPhone game and release it on my own terms. Like the iPhone versions, the new java one will incorporate the "Super Rewards" point system. Unlike the iPhone version, the ONLY way to earn points will be through a page on my website using a computer. This is the way most people would chose to do it anyway, so there shouldn't be any problems there. I'm going to re-tool the java system to directly mimic the iPhone one, and MAYBE even through the users into the exact same online score board. This way java people can compete with the iPone folks! So anyhow, for people without iPhone/iPod's, here are the things you can buy in the store... 1) Sun down immediately. 2) Fertilizer (3x growth until sun down) 3) Auto-Water (100% moisture until sun-down) 4) Remove ads. 5) Never shrink. Flower will never shrink, even when moisture drops below 0%. Java users will notice #5 and likely be confused. In ALL java releases so far the flower NEVER shrinks. Java users have had it easy until now Also, the butterfly multiplier will be removed since it's not in the iPhone version. I'm open to opinions on these points. If somebody with a java flower game wants to tell me off: Now's the time to do it!

Well, v2 is nearly complete. I am waiting for my silly phone company to activate my java device so that I can test before going live. I assume it's all working as intended, since I've been doing this for years. The first release for "Rose v2.0.0", will NOT have any ads. Actually it's meant to have ads, but I'm waiting for Getjar to get back to me with the necessary info for implementing their MADI ad system. Until then, v2.0 will not contain any ads, and all users that download the initial release will automatically have the "no ads" item purchased from the store at no cost, so even when ads are put in to the game, you won't have to see em. Anyhoo, it works ALMOST the same as the iPhone version now. The butterflies don't add multipliers anymore, since that's now the role of the 'fertilizer' in the store. The default growth rate is the same as the old java versions (0.5cm/hr), and fertilizer ads a 3x multipler making it 1.5cm/hr while active. I hope it works well for everyone Since it doesn't have any bloated advertising code, I expect a high level of compatibility! It requires Midp2.0+, but that's not a problem because 99% of all the active devices out there are Midp2.0 or higher now. Later, Adam.
