OK, with the initial release of a game, there are inevitably going to be a few minor issues. These include bugs, gameplay tweaks, interface improvements, level balancing etc...
Please post any and all problems you notice in ABP in THIS thread. I'll try to keep an updated list on the first post for everyone to see, so that people don't re-post new issues.
Please post any comments you have about difficulty, or the order/layout of the levels. I am more than happy to fiddle with this until most people are happy.
I'll release an updated version once we have enough stuff to warrant a new release.
Current version is 1.2.4 , the following is a list of problems for the current version.
BUGS: ?
The new version has: all old bugs fixed. Padddle now moves on all phones(I hope), paddle moves better/smoother, framerate is higher, compatibility is better.

The attribute Speed under Garage does not seem to change the ball speed at all, whether I'm at 50% or 300%, unless I'm mistaken and it's supposed to change some other speed? The other controls I tested made sense, expect that one.

It'd be nice to make a small preview icon for the phones that support it (I believe either 12x12 or 48x48, don't recall)

Cool. For some reason I havn't made any of those icons yet. I always leave it out. I'll use the single-brick icon I have as my thumbnail in the gamejump.com wap site. Until this version of AP, I was always trying to keep it under 64KB, but I'm not so concerned with that in this version.
I have a new version 1.2.2 of AP coming out very soon, and I'll put this in. So far here's what I'm going to add/change..
-> If you can make a new upgrade, the game will automatically go to the factory screen when you die. I get the feeling that a lot of people are not using the factory, and don't realize that they can make upgrades there.
-> Default Accelleration is now 100%
-> preview icon
-> sound is OFF by default (it's crappy anyway)
-> modified upgrade costs a little: Extra balls now cost 2-red and 1-green, new levels cost 2-lightBlue 2-darkBlue and 1-gold
No big changes, but I think showing people the factory screen where they make stuff is going to help a lot more of the poeple that don't realize how it works.

All the options in the garage screen affect how the paddle works, not the balls. If you have it at 50% speed, you'r paddle's top speed will be half that of 100%. If you'r Accelleration is low, you may not ever be reaching the top speed, and it could be an unnoticable difference.
To test it: put your Accelleration to the max (300%), and try fiddling with the speed. Also, the lower the framerate, the harder to tell the difference. You should be able to see a big difference between 30 and 100 on speed if your accelleration isn't low, but from 50 to 100, it's only double the top speed, so not as noticable.

Level 20 is the easiest level to beat, and also gives you the necessary bricks to get to the next level. I just sit there in the middle (since no balls can get past you this way) and collect all the multiple ball and super ball upgrades, and I'm guaranteed to win every time. It is simply near IMPOSSIBLE to lose on this level!

That's by design. It's kinda a "bonus" level. There are a couple more in the game as well. It's just fun to have a few levels where you always get to see a huge cascade of powerups.
On a side note, I've had a new version of "Attack Breaker Pro" / Paddle ready for a week or two. It's not available though, 'cause I have to wait for the advertisers to do their thing. A lot of people were having trouble using phones that went OVER 60FPS, and uncovered a stupid little bug that prevented them from being able to move the paddle! This happened on virtually all Sony Ericsson phones. The new version improves performance on ALL phones, as well as upping the framerate cap to 90fps, and fixing the "stuck paddle" bug.

i have the Sony Ericsson W850i Phone, and i don't have any trouble at all, the only thing that annoys (spelling?) me is the factory screen. Im currently saving up for multi-launch 16, so i need A LOT. but everytime i die it goes straight to the level buy screen, and sometimes i accidantilly (spelling?) buy a level up that costs 350+ blue + other color i can't remember right now... so i have to start again for the multi-launch... maybe in a update you can add an option tot the garage where i can select wheterer i want to go to factory when i die, or not. That's a good idea.
In the original "Attack Paddle" I didn't even have it automatically going into the factory at all. I discovered that NOBODY even went to the factory, so I made the factory open up automatically if something was available in a later version.
I like the idea of having a "target" or "goal" in the factory. Maybe that'll go into "Attack Breaker Pro 2" if I make it.
Right now ABP is by far my most played game, even though I get a lot more downloads for AC1. Almost nobody plays AC2, which kinda surprises me, since AC1 is quite popular. So I am leaning towards "ABP-2" for later in the year. I have a crazy idea for "ABP-2" which I think would be unique to brick-breakers.

Hi Adam
Thank you for the game, I love it, and I'm completely addicted.
Now, I want to start the game again at level one, but it always starts me up at a higher level.
How can I reset the game and start from level 1?

1)If you are already in a game, just "pause" it, then chose "Quit" : this gets you back to the main menu, with the option to "Start" instead of "Continue" 2) If you see "Start" in the main menu, click on "Start" 3) Push down 3 times to highlight the "LEVEL START" option 4) Push and hold left or right to chose the level you want to start on!
Hope that helps, glad you like the game!

Thank you!
I'd tried all that, but didn't hold down the left button, d'oh!
Now I'm off to try and beat my all time high score: 162,865,614. The housework will just have to wait.
Great fun!!

Cool. When I eventually get around to making anover version of 'Attack Breaker', I'll have online scoring as well as improved menus. I don't have plans at the moment, but I will do it at some point.
