OK, so my little experiment known as "Attack Breaker Challenge" will be starting with the next gamejump.com site refresh. I don't know if that means later today, tomorrow, Monday or what, but they do it at least once a week. Now a few more details on my plans for "Attack Breaker: Challenge" 1. This is an experiment. 2. This is intended to SUCK at the start. 3. This game will eventually NOT suck(I hope). I don't like the idea of making a s**t game. 4. I am going to add/change 1 or 2 features each month, to see what the effects are on how much the game gets played. This is the meat of the experiment. So my list of future features are something like this(in no particular order)... - Online Scoreboard
Instructions screen
- Better graphics (falling $'s look horrid)
- More levels
- No more forced exit on death
- background music (I'll have to make something first though)
*update* I have added instructions when you play the game for the first time only. This is the new feature in 'Phase 2' (aka v1.1.1) of ABC. Should be available for download from the usual places in July.

I just sat down and played this game for the first time, and actually had more fun than I expected! May sound stupid coming from the guy that made this game, but I didn't really playtest it much before I released it. Since this is a stripped down ABP engine, I didn't really need to test the functionality.
My best so far is 1,466,000 points. Try to shoot near vertical when you launch for best results.

First 10 hours of gameplay stats are in, and I am impressed. Though, I think a good chunk of that is just me...

I played it a couple times. There seems to be a bug on my phone though (Solo Sanyo SCP-2300), when the ball starts going fast enough, I just die. It has happened a couple times now, usually around 25000 points. I think it is going through the bricks or something. It happened in the original attack paddle too, but only a couple times because I never really paid attention to staying alive . Oh well, I guess I will be sticking to the first. Also, I don't mind looking at ads for each play but is there any way to keep the game loaded so that you don't have to do that every time?

I know what's happening to your balls. In the original Attack Paddle/Breaker, if the balls went really fast and bounced around a lot without hitting the paddle, you could re-launch them. It prevented the balls from getting stuck in endless loops where you couldn't hit them. In this game, it just destroys the ball. I'll fix that for the release next month.
Forcing you to re-launch is part of this experiment. I am trying to find out all sorts of things with this, and one of those things is determining if people are willing to play with ads every time they die. Unfortunately there is no way for me to put ads in anywhere except when you start/stop the game. I wish I could put one in right before starting a new game instead, but it's not my code that displays the ads.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to fix that problem. It only really pops up on slower phones like the 2300, since it has a slow framerate. If the ball bounces 6 times in one frame, it gets removed.
....I changed it to 20 hist/sec. that should do it. Wouldn't mind testing would ya? Free game with no ads if you wanna help.

To be honest, paddle games don,t attract me. too abstract. Your best (my Opinion) thing going is your Attack Chopper series, lots of neat tricks magic walls, support hatches, weird air guns, and level, instant save, expanding fire radar make more, its boundless and cool. mc3

I'm glad you like Attack Chopper so much. The hard truth is though that Attack-Breaker-Pro is my #1 game by a long shot now. It gets played almost 3x as much on average than AC1 or AC2.
