This game is amazing, I'm on level 18 at the moment (almost beaten). This is by far the best free/paid game ever created. I would just like you to know that there are many people who are playing the adver, and we love it. THANKS A BUNCH! E-mail me at Doomedelite-AT-gmail.com if you would like.

Wow thanks!
When I set out to make Attack Chopper, I was only thinking it'd bomb but I'd at least have a demo to get myself a job working for somebody else. When I found the advertising company (gamejump.com guys), it changed everything. I am really proud of AC, since it was such a learning experience for me, and I actually ended up with a fun game. You're probably like me, I have a really hard time finding mobile games that are any good.
You'll have to try my new one called "Attack Paddle". I know it's a completely different type of game, but you'll immediately notice the huge jump in production value. I submitted it to the advertiser's system, so now I just have to wait for it to be approved before it's available for download.
Rest assured there will be more Attack Chopper. And thanks again, I'll never get tired of hearing from fans of any of my games!

I have a SCP-2300, so if you need a low-end tester, I'm always here ;D. I try to stay away from Java as much as I can, due to the fact that it's a resource hog (for normal computers). I hope someday flash will be integrated into cellphones (If they aren't already). It's much easier to program in that environment The only reason there aren't more people on this forum, is because I had to search "attack chopper cellphone" in google, and there really isn't much advertising of your site. If you would like me to re-create your site for you, I'd be more than pleased

Oh yea and btw, the ads don't work on my phone, it just brings up a "connect to internet" message, then resumes to the normal game.

An SCP-2300 eh?
My very first phone was a Sanyo SCP-2300 from bell-solo. It's the ONLY phone I used while developing Attack Chopper. I eventually had to buy a couple other phones for testing different features, but I will always target the 2300 as my minimum playable phone. Attack Paddle runs at a solid 20 FPS on this phone, which provides a VERY smooth experience. In contrast, Attack Chopper usually only gets about 7 FPS on the sanyo. You should see Attack Chopper/Paddle on a Samsung A920, you get 60 FPS SOLID.
I know AC slows down the phone on the later levels, but I decided to still have the crazy bullets flying anyway.
As far as Java goes.... I'll have to defend Java 100% here. It's not a resource hog, even on a PC. Java MAY take alittle more memory on som apps, but in most cases runs better than native code. Anything you've seen about Java being slow or overly memory hungry is really old info. If a program is eating resources, be it memory or processing time, it's always the coder's fault.
The mistake most new-to-java devs make is that they don't realize how much of a performance hit you take creating objects. This is the same for C++, and any other object oriented language though. In Java since it uses a garbage collector, and you don't have to spend the time cleaning up after yourself, being sloppy makes the system take the time to clean up after you. Java on a mobile phone, is just like java on the PC, only with a smaller library of stuff to draw from.
Flash is cool and all, but it's not really a full fledged programming language. There's a lot of stuff that's a realy PITA in flash, that takes like 2 lines of Java code. Flash is great for single-player stuff with little to no networking or file reading/writing.
Anyhoo, an SCP-2300 is the only phone on Solo Mobile, you live in Canada? I'm in London, Ontario, and went to UWO.
Later.

Ok where to start here... Yes, I live in Canada (Vancouver, to be exact), and I get free internet on my Sanyo SCP-2300 even without minutes (pay as you go)! Unfortunately, the ad-ver of attack chopper stopped working on my phone awhile ago, it keeps asking me to connect to the internet for the ads (even though it is already connected to the internet), it's due to the new ad program they implemented (I'm talking right after I made my "highscores" post). Sorry for me taking so long to respond, I'm working hard on a technology scholarship. Oh yes, and the only reason I said java is a resource hog, is because any app (limewire for example) in java seems to take up a lot more resources then needed (not sure if the recent (sorta) updates fixed this, I'm behind the times to say the least =D). Contact me by e-mail if you like, I check that daily. If I had a way to pay you for Attack Chopper, it would have been done long ago Maybe as soon as PayPal actually responds to my e-mails... (Entered "RBC Royal Bank" as the bank name instead of "Royal Bank", now I'm dealing with absolute bloody hell). Till next post, Andrew Simmons.

Good to heard from ya!
I'm a bit surprised the game stopped working for you. If you go to getjar.com now, you'll actually have a different version that you can try. The advertising is supplied by a different company, and I'm trying it out on my getjar.com download page.
Oh wait.... The version on getjar.com with the new ads is only for Midp2.0 phones, and yours is Midp1.0. If you go to mobilerated.com you can download a "try&buy" version of AC. This version lets you play 5 times, then prompts you to purchase it. The purchasing goes through kalador.com, and can be started right from the phone. You can also try going to kalador.com and get the "play first" version of the game that lets you play it once to see if it works. Or also from kalador.com, I believe you can straight out purchase it.
It would be best if you had paypal working, 'cause I sell AC through my website , and get all of the money from those sales(minus the paypal fees).
I'm gonna sen you an e-mail...
