Attack Chopper Help!!! (Level 12)

I am completely stuck on level 12... How do you solve this? I need al lot of tips and hints how to go through.

OK!

This level is the first *REAL* challenge in the game. Tackling it head-on without any powerups or artillery strikes can be difficult.

1) If you can manage to get here with an artillery (ther is one in level 10), just blast the rockets when you get close enough(1 wall in between).

2) The head-on approach: Grab the first powerup without getting hit. Thi is a weapon upgrade. Then proceed as slowly as you can while avoiding the heat-seekers, taking out the radar on the way. The power-ups in there will help a lot too. If you can get good at dodging the missiles, you can make 2 or 3 passes to get the powerups / kill the radar. This is HARD.

3) Look at the bottom of the map. You may find a back-door...

I'm also having an extreme hard time finishing up level twelve. I'm not a pansy or nothing, but this is really hard. I have been trying this level for three months to no avail. I have found the back but even then the heat seekers get me before I even get a chance.
No doubt, this is the "REAL" challenge to this game.
Footnote I'm playing it on my phone. Just in case you might have this game available for PC. I dont know.

Hmm... If you run at the rockets from the secret area, you should be able to take it out pretty quickly. I don't think the rockets can get you if you are directly over top of the launcher, though I haven't played AC1 for a long time and can't remember exactly.

WOO HOO!!! thanks for the hint i passed that level and finished the game within the day.
Now if i could only finish AC 2 I will be very good then......hmmm
