I was a little shocked to see somebody complain that AC2 had "big levels". You can save ANYWHERE, so what's the problem? www.mobilerated.com/3d-attack-chopper-2-1585.htmlIt's the only revew visible on mobilerated.com for AC2 right now. Anybody else not like the huge open layout? Do people want another level based AC game? Would like to hear people's thoughts. I really didn't see this coming. You can't please everyone

Thanks for the compliment! I thought people would play AC2 a lot more than AC1 because of the save-anywhere, and size of the game, but it gets played LESS than AC1 on average. Also, I can't get people to download it from getjar.com, but I think that's more a problem with their listings. I used advertising to get AC2 up to the second position just behind AC1, but it didn't get downloaded at all after the advertising ended

to stay in the top 10 you seem to need to show a naked person at the end of each stage or cheat... there seem to be some that appear on the new list all the time. maybe by switching to smaller stages you could release a new stage each week and keep in the new listings section.

Naked pics of Helicopters! Or Choppers in their underware!... no wait that's just stupid...
I DID have a version of AC1 that had online level-downloading built in. I never released it though, 'cause the bandwidth would sink my DSL connection, and it would just eat too much space on people's phones. 1 level would likely be around 1KB, which doesn't seem bad until you download new ones every week and run out of 'allowed' space on your phones.
The problem comes from the phones themselves, which have limits on how much you are allowed to store. They won't just use all available space like you'd think. Some phones let you use as much as you want, and some won't let you store more than 30KB, some 64KB, some 20KB. It's just stupid if you ask me. Also, I have to hard-code the setting for max-usage in the .jad file for the game, and if the phone you try to install with thinks it's too much data, it won't even let you install.
I suppose if maybe the system could keep only a SINGLE level set in storage, and replace it when you download a new one. So you could maybe chose your level set out of all the ones available to download, then it replaces your current ones until you are ready for a new set. This could work. Have separate high-scores for each level set too.

What would be better is if Sprint/LG let me store and use more file types on my mem card. Then I wouldn't have to worry about hitting my phones internal memory limit.
Oh, and AC2 is better than AC1. Although I haven't decided if the replay value is really worthwhile.
Huh...last post on this thread was in March. I hope my gravedigging doesn't disturb anyone.

Dig away!
I totally agree about not being allowed to save games on the SD card slot. the silly phone companies think it will make us buy more games through their system or some lame junk.

it would be better if the chopper move a little faster... because sometimes when im in a middle of an attack I found myself not moving at all. then eventually die. and sometimes it moves to slow
[AC2] but good game... just a little confusing where to go

Might just be the phone you are using. Every phone is different, so some phones run a bit on the slow side. For some reason even brand new phones don't necessarily have the processing power to handle this type of game at full speed. I was surprised when my brother's girlfriend complained that AC was slow. When I checked the phone it was a brand new LG, but had the crappiest mobile CPU on the planet. AC was designed to run on slow phones from 5 years ago, yet that's apparently not a guarantee that new phones are any faster

When you finish it a few times you start to think the map is smaller... You sorta grow into the game after you finish it.

Things are really rough. There are no ads being displayed for java users anymore(almost), and the ads that show on android aren't much better. iPhone pays better than java and android, but it's still at 1/30th what it used to be!
Needless to say, I'm having a hard time paying my bills. I've moved on to 'super rewards' offers for revenue, as it's 10x better than ads at the moment, but I just don't have this system in any of my old games. I'm working it into my new stuff, but it's gonna take some time until I build up a new library of games that actually make money.
