I've had AC1 on sale through mad4games since June of last year, and have a total of like 35 sales. AC2 got released there on April 12th, so just to humor myself I check their site once in a while, and I was very surprised to see this.... In light of my previous near year long AC1 sales experience, I HAVE to think this is a mistake on their part, but I'm not about to point it out. If having AC2 in the top10 list gets me sales, than I don't care at all if it's a mistake!

Can somebody else go to mad4games.com and see if they spot AC2 in the "Top Sellers" list? Maybe firefox isn't playing nice with flash or something...

Dammit Perhaps that IS in their top ten if they don't sell much? Do you sell on any UK mobile networks? I've been spreading the word, those that have tried it have gone for ad/demo versions. Which do you get more income from? Not including direct sales!

My games aren't available on any of the networks. It kinda sucks, but it's true. Only sold through mad4games.com, clickgamer.com and kalador.com. I usually make more money off a sale than off somebody playing an ad-supported version.
The ad-supported ones make me money each time you see one of those ads, you don't even have to click on them. I make around a penny for each add that people see, so if you exit the games properly and you see 2 more ads when it closes, I make 2x as much money. It'd take somebody playing one of my games 50 times for me to make $1.00 usually, so It's usually better for me to make a sale. That's why I try my best to add replayability in my games.
Since most people don't see ads the first time they play a game, my average $/play is actually around $0.01/play. This is because of all the people that try a game, but never play it again, and don't exit properly.
Even though it looks like I get 25,000 downloads a week on AC1, I only make around 150.00 a week from it. I think a lot of the 'download' numbers are from people that never even install the games on their phones, or ever even play them once. If I made 0.01 for every download of AC1, I'd almost double my money on it.

Well I'm happy to have made you plenty from my exiting and starting AC1 and AB properly I haven't played ABP too much yet, mainly because AC2 takes up all my time I WILL get you the money for AC2 this Thursday, I had a slight cash-flow problem arise Have you received any recompense from the site (mobilerated???) that put up the full version for free? I should think they got many downloads in those few days it was up....

Nope, didn't get anything from mobilerated except a "whoops". Doesn't really bother me though, since they havn't really sold any after fixing it. I have had a total of 1 sale through them for AC2.

Yeah it sucks.
Mobilerated.com was supposedly running a contest since last fall, and whoever submitted the game that got downloaded the most over any 30 day period from then until April was gonna get $500.00. They were supposed to announce the winner on the 15th of April according to the rules page. I asked them about it, and they said the "announcement is coming soon". I know I didn't win, as there has always been some crappy game or another ahead of mine, but really, why arn't they even following their own contest rules?
I need better "cover" art for my games. AC1/2 looks fine, but I need something for ABP. If you go to getjar.com and look through the listings, you'll see ABP there. I think it stands out really well, but it's not the most appealing graphic. One of these days I'll have to actually start drawing some graphics for my games....
Back in the day I wasn't horrible at sketching, but I can't draw with a mouse to save my life. I'll have to get one of those digital pen thingies.

Cool. Come up with some stuff and post it to the ABP board! My main concern is the Getjar.com mini graphic, which must be...
"GIF/JPG/PNG, must be 100px in width and 50-150px in height, max. 7KB"
According to getjar.com.
